Scan-first food tracking
The app will make it quick to log what you have stored, where it is, when it was opened or cooked, and when it should be used.
Relaunch in progress
LftOvrs started with a simple idea: make good food easier to store, find and actually use. We are rebuilding it as an app-led system for logging leftovers with QR labels, NFC tags, print-your-own stickers and smart bands that work with the containers people already own.
We are especially keen to hear from early testers, parents, meal preppers, food-waste projects, NFC and label suppliers, product partners and anyone who thinks the next version should exist.
The original LftOvrs idea sat between reusable food storage, meal prep and simple household food-waste reduction. The relaunch keeps that practical heart, but puts the app and labels first.
The app will make it quick to log what you have stored, where it is, when it was opened or cooked, and when it should be used.
Use LftOvrs labels, print your own QR labels, or link an NFC sticker to the pot, jar, tub or container you already use.
We are exploring elastic and silicone bands with built-in NFC, plus a small fridge display that can show what needs using next.
Food waste is not just a big-system problem. It happens in normal kitchens on tired weekdays: half a meal in a pot, no label, no reminder, no clue whether it is still good. LftOvrs is being rebuilt for that exact moment.
Less guilt, less guessing, fewer forgotten leftovers. Just a cleaner way to store food and use what you already made.
These are glimpses from the earlier LftOvRs app: a simple place to see your meals, track where they are stored, and get a nudge before good food is forgotten. The relaunch will bring that thinking into a cleaner, easier version.
The next version will keep the useful parts at the centre: quick logging, clear locations, use-by dates, and a calm view of what needs using next.
If you used LftOvrs before, want to test the new app, can help with labels, NFC products or fridge hardware, or simply think this idea deserves another go, email Miles and say hello.
